There were shots fired in a nearby neighborhood directly west of McPherson Park. It was reported that more than 30 to 40 rounds were shot. One person was hit by the gun fire. Mission Ridge is having an Emergency Area Crime Meeting. All surrounding neighbors are invited to attend. The meeting will be next Saturday, May 17th at 5:00 pm.

A Fort Worth Police Department Crime Prevention Officer will be attending the meeting to address what we as a community can do in response to the criminal activity and shootings in our neighborhoods.

My name is Leanne Hazard and I am a community safety liaison. I am a group captain for Code Blue, which is a part of FW Police Department & I work closely with our NPO on community issues and projects as needed. We also patrol your neighborhoods as well as ours to keep tabs on things.
